The American Diabetes Association, or the ADA, is an American health organization providing diabetes mellitus, more commonly know as just “diabetes”, advocacy, research and information. This association was founded in 1940 and is conducting programs in all 50 states and the District of Columbia since then, reaching out hundreds of communities.

- To improve the lives of all people affected with diabetes mellitus
People with diabetes mellitus, their families and friends, health professionals and the public are provided with diabetes mellitus information and other services by the American Diabetes Association to fulfill this mission. The American Diabetes Association also funds researches and publishes scientific findings to try getting its mission accomplished.
The American Diabetes Association is also actively involved in for the rights of people with diabetes mellitus and advocating for scientific researches.
Over the last year, the Diabetes Association was contacted by more than 350,000 people with questions and concerns, or to seek direction or support regarding diabetes mellitus and its management. The American Diabetes Association provides the most comprehensive source of useful information to support people with diabetes mellitus and their loved ones who are also diabetics. It is up to the diabetes mellitus patients to make the day-to-day decisions, but the American Diabetes Association’s staff is committed to helping the patients take care of their diabetes mellitus every step along the way.
$200 million have been invested by the American Diabetes Association in the research work to date. Corporate partners, specials events, direct mail campaigns, Research Foundation are some of the many vehicles of the American Diabetes Association that help the Association raise the funds. |
